A native of Pittsburgh, PA, Dr. Allison Lazo-Pacheco grew up an ardent pro sports fan. She still loves getting back to her hometown to see her family and attends home and away games whenever she has the chance.
Dr. Allison knew at an early age that she wanted to be in an industry where she could help people. She initially wanted to pursue an MD degree but an opportunity to work as a scribe in an emergency department showed her that her values did not align with those of allopathic medicine. She had already been receiving chiropractic care for years to treat a back injury, so when she landed a job as a patient technician at a chiropractic office, she quickly realized that she was passionate about helping patient’s reach their full potential through a holistic and natural approach. One year later she was excelling at Chiropractic school and working to launch her Doctorate career.
Dr. Allison’s patients appreciate her dedication to education and empowerment, and she loves being a part of their wellness journey.
Her approach to wellness is multifaceted: she defines wellness as not only feeling good, but also functioning at an optimal level physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. She maintains her overall wellness with good nutrition and regular exercise, spending time with her family, pups, and friends, going hiking and being active. She also spends her Sundays at church, journaling or goal setting, and resetting for the new week.
